FUTURE HISTORY: CAMPAIGN
We never know what our children will achieve in the future if they are given the right start in life. 80% of children in Lambeth’s care are of mixed or Black parentage, we think that they deserve a safe and nurturing home. The FUTURE HISTORY CAMPAIGN is a mult-platform campaign aimed at recruiting more adopters for boys of mixed or Black parentage. The campaign will includes TV commercial, documentaries, print, online, social media and events.
FUTURE HISTORY: THE ADVERT
The commercial captures the iconic moment that Britain’s first Black Prime Minister steps out onto Number 10 Downing Street to deliver his first words as Prime Minister. We then reveal that he was an adopted child in care in Lambeth.
The documentary film focuses on telling the real stories of real people who have adopted, been adopted or been in care. We also speak to experts and professionals who talk about the process and dispel some commonly held the myths.
We have many children in our care at Lambeth, and they deserve the chance to grow up in a loving and secure home. The sort of home we hope you can provide. We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, wanted, valued and has a forever family. We are acutely aware of the importance of identity, religion, culture, ethnicity, children’s ages and keeping siblings together.
We are always looking for people from different backgrounds to become adopters. Our priority is finding the right family for the right child.
